Ray Meagher to Play Mechanic Bob in West End Priscilla Queen of the Desert

Ray Meagher will assume the role of mechanic Bob in Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical, playing at the West End’s Palace Theatre, on September 30.

Meagher may be best known for his role of Alf Stewart in the long running Australian soap Home and Away. On stage, he was seen in the Australian company of Priscilla, also as Bob, and his other credits include many pantomimes throughout the U.K., most recently playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan at Tumbridge Wells. His film credits include Breaker Morant, The Chamberlain Report, and Mail Order Bride.

He joins a company that also features Don Gallagher (Bernadette), Ben Richards (Tick), and Oliver Thornton (Adam).

Based on the Oscar-winning film and written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical has been directed by Simon Phillips and has choreography by Ross Coleman.
