Simon Burke to Join West End La Cage aux Folles

Simon Burke has been cast to appear alongside John Barrowman in La Cage aux Folles in the West End, according to the UK magazine The Stage‘s website. Burke, taking over from fellow Australian Philip Quast, will begin performances in the Jerry Herman musical on September 14.

Burke appeared as Marius in the original Australian cast of Les Miserables and opposite Judi Dench in A Little Night Music in the West End. He is the fourth actor to play Georges since the production opened at the Playhouse Theatre in October last year, and is scheduled to continue in the role through November 28.
