Jonathan Hadary and Ann Arvia to Lead Fiddler on the Roof at Arena Stage

Molly Smith directs the classic musical, in the round.

Jonathan Hadary and Ann Arvia will star as Tevye and Golde in Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater's upcoming production of Fiddler on the Roof. Directed by Molly Smith and featuring choreography by Parker Esse, the Joseph Stein, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick musical runs October 21-January 4 in the Fichandler Stage.

Staged in the round (with Jerome Robbins' original choreography adapted for that setting), the production will also feature Dorea Schmidt as Tzeitel, Hannah Corneau as Hodel, Maria Rizzo as Chava, Shayna Blass as Shprintze, Maya Brettell as Bielke, Joshua Morgan as Motel, Michael Vitaly Sazonov as Perchik, Kurt Boehm as Fyedka, Erick Devine as Lazar Wolf, and Valerie Leonard as Yente/Grandma Tzeitel.

The ensemble includes Alex Alferov as the Fiddler, Scott Harrison as Mendel, Joe Mallon as Nachum, Jimmy Mavrikes as Yussel, Tracy Lynn Olivera as Fruma-Sarah, Joe Peck as Rabbi, Barbara Pinolini as Shandel, Kyle Schliefer as Sasha, Thomas Adrian Simpson as Mordcha, Chris Sizemore as Constable/Russian Soloist, Jamie Smithson as Avram, Trevor Illingworth, Farrell Parker, and Curtis Schroeger, with swings Eric Greengold and Jesse Palmer.

On the creative end, the production is set to feature scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Colin K. Bills, and sound design by Lindsay Jones.
