Aaron Ramey to Join South Pacific Tour in Toronto

Aaron Ramey will assume the role of Lieutenant Joseph Cable in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific in the national touring company during its Toronto engagement at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, which begins tonight, February 15 and will continue through April 10.

Ramey’s Broadway credits include Curtains, Young Frankenstein, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. In addition he has appeared in the national tours of Sweet Charity and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and was most recently seen onstage as Jud Fry in Arena Stage’s Oklahoma!.

Bartlett Sher has directed South Pacific, which is based on James Michener’s Tales of the South Pacific, and features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein, and a book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan.

The production won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival as well as the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Award for Best Musical Revival.
