Come From Away star Kendra Kassebaum will head the cast of the 5th Avenue Theatre's upcoming production of Ragtime, running October 13-November 5.

Peter Rothstein directs the musical, which will feature 16 actors. With music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, Ragtime follows three families in pursuit of the American dream at the start of the 20th century. Based on the novel by E. L. Doctorow, the show first opened on Broadway in 1998.

Kassebaum takes on the role of Mother, alongside Joshua Carter as Tateh, Douglas Lyons as Coalhouse Walker Jr., Danyel Fulton as Sarah, Matthew Kacergis as Mother's Younger Brother, and Louis Hobson as Father.
