Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Bernadette Peters will be among the guest artists appearing with the San Francisco Symphony during its summer season, June 25-July 24.

The season opens with a special concert featuring the ensemble Pink Martin (June 25-26), followed by a guest appearance by Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters (June 27). Other highlights of the season include appearances by pianist Gabriela Montero for a program of work by Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, and others (July 2); actor George Takei, who will narrate "Star Trek Through the Years" (July 4), pianist Jeremy Denk (July 9), trumpeter Chris Botti (July 11-12), the classic Bugs Bunny on Broadway (July 17), and Tony winner James Earl Jones who perform Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait (July 24).
