Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre opens its 204th season with the American premiere of Erich Segal's Love Story, the Musical. Previews begin September 4, and the show officially runs September 12-October 21. Annabel Bolton will direct.

This delicate musical of life and love tells the story of when Oliver Barrett IV wanders into a library in search of a book and discovers Jenny Cavilleri. They came from different worlds. He was a Harvard man, she was Radcliffe. He was rich, she was poor. But they fell in love. This is their story.

Love Story, the Musical features book and lyrics by Stephen Clark, music and additional lyrics by Howard Goodall, and set design by Olivier Award-winner Peter McKintosh.

The cast stars Jane Labanz, Paul L. Nolan, Charles Pistone, Will Reynolds, and Alexandra Silber. The ensemble includes Pierce Cravens, Lisa Marie Gargione, Sarah Gliko, Charles Hagerty, Danielle Herbert, John Jarboe and Scott Langdon.
