BBC's famous radio series The Goon Show aired 1951-1960, and their comedy has greatly influenced Monty Python, the Beatles, and Tom Stoppard, among others. In Ying Tong, Smiles delves into the mind of Goon writer Spike Milligan whose mind cracks from the strain of creating comic genius, and his fellow Goons must scramble to save his sanity.
