The New York Theatre Workshop production of David Bowie and Enda Walsh's new musical Lazarus has been extended again. The show will now play through January 20, after beginning performances November 18. The production, directed by Ivo van Hove, opens tonight, December 7.

The final performance, on January 20, will serve as a benefit for the organization's artistic development and education programming. Ticket prices range from $1,000 (which includes one ticket to the final performance plus two seats to the upcoming NYTW production of Red Speedo) and $2,500 (which includes one ticket to the show, access to the after-party, and two seats to Red Speedo and Hadestown).

Inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth, Lazarus features new Bowie songs, as well as new arrangements of previously recorded tunes. Walsh pens the script, which centers on Thomas Newton, an extraterrestrial stranded on Earth after looking for ways to send water to his drought-plagued planet.

Leading the company is Michael C. Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Dexter), alongside Tony Award nominee Cristin Milioti (Once), Michael Esper (The Last Ship), Krystina Alabado (American Idiot), Sophia Anne Caruso (The Sound of Music: Live), Nicholas Christopher (Whorl Inside a Loop), Lynn Craig (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Bobby Moreno (Year of the Rooster), Krista Pioppi (Spring Awakening national tour), Charlie Pollock (The Wild Party), and Brynn Williams (Bye Bye Birdie).

Additionally, New York Theatre Workshop has announced a change in the start date to Lucas Hnath's Red Speedo, which will now take place February 17.
