Kevin Bacon, Kristin Chenoweth, Meryl Streep Set for January 15 Critics’ Choice Awards

Kevin Bacon will receive the Broadcast Film Critics Association’s Joel Siegel Award for his charitable work at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, which will be presented in a ceremony to be held on January 15 at the Hollywood Palladium and aired live on VH1. Oscar winner and stage veteran Meryl Streep, who is a nominee for her work in Julie & Julia, will present the award to Bacon.

Emmy Award winner and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will host the ceremony.

Among the films up for Best Picture are Nine, Inglourious Basterds, Avatar, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Invictus, Precious, A Serious Man, Up, and Up in the Air.

In addition to Streep, theater veterans nominated in acting categories include Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, Alfred Molina, Julianne Moore, Samantha Morton, Carey Mulligan, and Stanley Tucci.
