New York City to Shut Down Mass Transit on Saturday at Noon

Government officials have officially made plans to shut down New York City’s mass transit system of subways and buses beginning at Noon on Saturday, according to published reports. Commuter rails serving Long Island, Westchester County and Connecticut will also be shut down.

The lack of public transportation will undoubtedly affect theatergoers, and all Broadway shows and several Off-Broadway shows have officially canceled performances.
