Duncan Sheik, Jimmy Webb, Dan Zanes, et al. Set for 2010 River to River Festival

Complete programming has been announced for the 2010 River to River Festival, New York’s largest free summer arts festival, held in multiple venues ranging from the World Financial Center and Rockefeller Park on the Hudson River to Castle Clinton National Monument, Wagner Park, and Battery Park at Manhattan’s tip to The Elevated Acre and The Seaport on the East River. The series begins on June 22.

Highlights of the series include a July 4th concert that features Dan Zanes and Friends performing Broadway classics from his acclaimed 76 Trombones, singer-songwriter Jimmy Webb with Martin Rivas (July 14), Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik (July 15); CAP21 Presents Summer Stock NYC 2010 at Pace University: An Evening of Broadway Blockbusters (July 18), and a performance by Antibalas, the band from Broadway’s Fela! (July 22).

Other artists who will participate in the festival include Emmet Cohen, KJ Dehnert, Jason Green, Beth Orton, Madeline Peyroux, and Rochester City Ballet.

There will also be a film series at the Elevated Acre featuring screenings of Broadway Danny Rose (July 29), Auntie Mame (August 5), The Country Girl (August 12), and The Muppets Take Manhattan (August 19).
