(© David Scheinmann) | Participating shows have been announced for Broadway in Bryant Park. Presented by by New York's 106.7fm, the annual summertime series offers first come-first served seating on the lawn, and performs on consecutive Thursdays, 12:30pm-1:30pm.
The series will kick off on July 9 with performances from the musicals The Phantom of the Opera, Stomp, Avenue Q, and In the Heights. On July 16, there will be performances from The Little Mermaid, 9 to 5, Pure Country, and The Toxic Avenger. July 23 will feature Mary Poppins, Rock of Ages, Vanities, and Next to Normal. July 30 performances will be from Chicago, Naked Boys Singing!, Jersey Boys, and Shrek. August 6 will feature Wicked, Burn the Floor, The Lion King, and The Marvelous Wonderettes. The series will conclude on August 13 with performances from Billy Elliot, South Pacific, Mamma Mia!, and Altar Boyz.
