Las Vegas Headliner Danny Gans Dies at 52

Las Vegas headliner and former Broadway performer Danny Gans has died suddenly, according to the Associated Press. He was 52 years old. Details are still to be determined.

His solo show Danny Gans on Broadway: The Man of Many Voices played the Neil Simon Theatre briefly n 1995. The following year, the self-described “musical impressionist” moved his show to Las Vegas, where he played at various venues, including a long-running gig at the Mirage before moving to Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas in February, where a theater had been specially built for him.

Gans also acted in film and television, notably as Roger in the series Silk Stalkings and portraying Dean Martin in the CBS miniseries Sinatra.

He is survived by his wife Julie and his children, Amy, Andrew and Emily.
