Michelle Citrin, Michael Garin, and Josh Nelson will collaborate on the music and lyrics for the musical version of the popular movie Sleepless in Seattle. They replace the previously reported Leslie Bricusse and Ian Fraser on a creative team which also includes bookwriter Jeff Arch and director Joel Zwick. The production is aiming to debut on Broadway on Valentine’s Day in 2011.

Singer/songwriter Citrin’s work has earned her recognition as one of Billboard Music’s “Top Songwriters,” as well as a Great American Songwriting Honor and a place as finalist in Sony Music’s future Rock Competition. Her work is also a fixture on YouTube, where she has released such songs as “Rosh Hashanah Girl,” “20 Things to do with Matzah,” and “Pass the Candle.” Her latest CD, Left Brained Right Hearted will be released in the near future.

Garin co-wrote and co-starred in the Off-Broadway musical Song of Singapore. Among his other credits are Duet! and The Handless Maiden. His CDs include The Song of the Alpha Male and Tulsa Is Just A Slut Spelled Backwards.

Composer and singer/songwriter Nelson has released five CDs of original music including I Hear a Rhapsody, Let It Go, Lift, and Anticipation. He has performed internationally and served as Director of Jazz Ensembles at Boston University.

Arch’s work on the screenplay for Sleepless in Seattle earned him Oscar, Golden Globe, Writers Guild, and BAFTA nominations. Zwick is best known for directing the film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
