Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Martin Lawrence, et al. to Star in Death at a Funeral

Casting has been announced for the film remake of the 2007 British comedy Death at a Funeral, to be directed by Neil LaBute and co-written by Chris Rock, who will star, and Aeysha Carr, according to Variety.
The film will revolve around a dysfunctional family that gathers for the patriarch’s funeral, where a mysterious man arrives claiming to be the dead man’s gay lover.
In addition to Rock, the cast will feature Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan, Danny Glover, Regina Hall, James Marsden, Zoe Saldana, Columbus Short, Loretta Devine, and Ron Glass.
LaBute’s many plays include reasons to be pretty, Wrecks, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig, and The Shape of Things. He most recently directed the film Lakeview Terrace, and is also known for helming In the Company of Men and Your Friends and Neighbors.
