The latest Broadway revival of On the Town opens this evening at the newly dubbed Lyric Theatre. Jay Armstrong Johnson, Tony Yazbeck, and Clyde Alves lead the cast as Chip, Gabey, and Ozzie — three wide-eyed sailors who run wild through the streets of New York City during their 24-hour shore leave. John Rando, who directed the production's original mounting at Barrington Stage, returns to the helm of the musical, featuring classic tunes by Leonard Bernstein and a book by the incomparable Betty Comden and Adolph Green.

Check back in tomorrow for TheaterMania's review of On the Town and coverage of the opening-night celebration. Plus, keep up with our Instagram tonight where we'll be posting special photos direct from the red carpet.
