Chuggington Live! The Great Rescue Adventure, a new stage show based on the popular children's television program, will play New York City's Beacon Theatre for five performances on May 16 and 17.

In the show Chuggington train carriages come to life onstage with working mouths, eyes and plenty of "traintastic" action. The backdrop is made of a video wall featuring animated interactive backgrounds. The musical will feature many new songs alongside hits from the TV series.

Chuggington Live! audiences will join "trainees" Wilson, Koko, and Brewster, who have started their Advanced Training and are eager to master their new roles that test courage, speed, and determination. But "when Koko finds herself in trouble at Rocky Ridge Mine, it’s up to her friends to help her."

Chuggington Live! The Great Rescue Adventure is written and directed by Theresa Borg. Chuggington is a British television series produced by Ludorum plc, broadcast on the BBC children's channel CBeebies as well as on Disney Channel and Disney Junior in the United States.
