The album contains original music and songs, written by Adrian Sutton and John Tams, from the acclaimed National Theatre of Great Britain production, which is currently playing at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theatre.

The play, adapted by Nick Stafford, is based on the celebrated novel by Michael Morpurgo about the extraordinary bond between a young British boy and his horse, Joey.
