Isaac Mizrahi, Rufus Wainwright Set for Guggenheim Museum Events

Composer Rufus Wainwright will take part in a public conversation about his work and his new opera Prima Donna at at the Guggenheim on January 22 at 7:30pm at part of the museum’s Works & Process series. George Steel will moderate the discussion, which will also feature members of the creative team.

In addition to the panel conversation, the event will feature excerpts from Prima Donna, performed by New York City Opera (NYCO) company members. As previously reported, NYCO will present the piece at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House, February 19-25.

As previously reported, the Guggenheim Museum will present Sergei Prokfiev’s Peter and the Wolf, with remaining performances December 16-18 at 2:30 and 4pm. Isaac Mizrahi will narrate the piece, which will be performed by the Julliard Ensemble, conducted by George Manahan.
