The Culture Project has announced productions for its 2010 season, with dates to be announced at a later date.

The company will begin the year with the Women Center Stage Festival, which features Yael Farber’s Molora — a radical retelling of the Oresteia myth set during South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission — as its centerpiece.

Eve Ensler and Carol Bebelle have worked with sixteen New Orleans artists to develop Swimming Upstream, a creative re-telling of what transpired when Hurricane Katrina hit, to commemorate the 5th year anniversary of the disaster.

Productions will also include Colin Greer’s Heschel about Polish American Rabbi Abraham Heschel, and RAM: The Abduction of Sita Into Darkness, a stage adaptation of The Ramayana, also written by Farber.
