Samuel, Shindle, Vortmann, et al. Set for Mother Russia Concert at Carnegie Hall

Casting is complete for the concert presentation of the new musical Mother Russia, to play Carnegie Hall on December 19 at 7:30 pm. Nick Corley will direct, with musical direction by Phil Reno and Lanny Meyers.

Featuring music and lyrics by Andrew J. Wight with book and lyrics by Winston Shaw, the musical tells the tale of one Russian family and an intrepid American reporter caught between the conflicting forces that brought the downfall of the Soviet Union and shaped the destiny of 21st Century Russia.

The cast will include Jane Brockman (Olga), Nat Chandler (Slava), Betsy DiLellio (Luba), Todd Horman (Misha), Evangelia Kingsley (Ludmilla), Peter Samuel (Tolya), Kate Shindle (Jenya), Kevin Vortmann (Steve), along with Janic Martin, Andy Sandberg and the ensemble Barynya, featuring Russian, Cossack, and Ukranian dancers and musicians.
