Sherie Rene Scott Will Return to Scoundrels After Signature Show

Sherie Rene Scott will return to the role of Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on June 20 after she completes her run in the Signature Theatre Company production of John Guare’s Landscape of the Body, opposite Lili Taylor.

Scott will temporarily depart Scoundrels on February 19; after her return, she is contracted to stay with the show through Fall 2006. No replacement for her during her absence has yet been named. Scott received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance as Christine; her previous credits include The Last 5 Years, Debbie Does Dallas, and Aida.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels stars Tony Award winners Norbert Leo Butz and John Lithgow. As previously reported by TheaterMania, Butz will stay with the production through Summer 2006, while Tony winner Jonathan Pryce will replace Lithgow on January 17. The show also stars Joanna Gleason, Gregory Jbara, and Sara Gettelfinger.
