Antony and the Johnsons will offer a one-night-only performance of Swanlights at Radio City Music Hall on Thursday, January 26 at 8pm.

The show is an exploration of light, nature and femininity, and contains music from all four of Antony and the Johnsons’ albums, including the recording that gives the piece its title as well as I am a Bird Now, and The Crying Light. The music has been set to symphonic arrangements by Nico Muhly, Rob Moose, and Maxim Moston.

The creative team for the production will include light artist Chris Levine, lighting designer Paul Normandale, and set designer Carl Robertshaw.

Antony and the Johnsons’ The Crying Light was performed at MoMA PS1. As an individual artist, Antony has worked with such artists as Björk, Boy George, Yoko Ono, Laurie Anderson, CocoRosie, and Lou Reed, and has performed with major symphony orchestras around the world. In addition, he was the musical director and a performer in Robert Wilson’s production of The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic.
