Kathleen Chalfant Set for Players Club Ceremony Honoring The Women’s Project

Kathleen Chalfant will be be one of the emcees for a ceremony at The Players Club when the Women’s Project receives The Players Foundation’s inaugural Off-Broadway Excellence Award. John Martello, Executive Director of The Players, will co-emcee the ceremony, to be held on October 20 at 5:30pm.

Chalfant helped found the Women’s Project with Julia Miles in 1978. Since that time, the company has become the nation’s number one theater producing plays written and directed by women. The award will be accepted by Julie Crosby, the theater company’s producing artistic director.

Excerpts from the Women’s Project’s upcoming production of Liz Duffy Adams’ Or, will be performed by the show’s cast — Maggie Siff, Kelly Hutchinson, and Andy Paris — as part of the ceremony.
