Glee CD to Feature Kristin Chenoweth

Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will be featured on Glee: The Music, Volume 1, the soundtrack to the hit FOX series, which will be available on November 3.

Chenoweth, who played former Glee Club member April Rhodes on the September 30 episode, will be heard singing Heart’s “Alone” with series star Matthew Morrison and John Kander and Fred Ebb’s “Maybe This Time” with co-star Lea Michele. Chenoweth is expected to reprise her role next year.

Selections on the first 17-track disc will also include renditions of Stephen Schwartz’s “Defying Gravity” (sung by Michele and Chris Colfer), Journey’s “Don’t Stop Beleivin,” Queen’s “Somebody to Love,” Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” and Kanye West’s “Gold Digger.”

The CD and show also feature Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, and Jenna Ushkowitz.

Upcoming signings of the CD by selected cast members will take place at 4pm on Monday, November 2 at the Roosevelt Field mall in Westbury, Long Island; at 5::30pm on Tuesday, November 3 at Borders Columbus Circle in Manhattan; and 6pm on Wednesday, November 4 at the Best Buy at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey.
