Soho Rep has announced the three plays for its 2010 season.

The season will consist of Lear, written and directed by Young Jean Lee, which blends text from Shakespeare’s tragedy with elements from her own life (January 7- 31); Gregory Moss’ Orange, Hat & Grace, to be directed by Sarah Benson, which is a dark comedy about relationships and ecology (March 11-April 4); and Cynthia Hopkins’ one-woman piece The Truth: A Tragedy in which she pays homage to her dying father through memories, song, and dance (May 6-30).

Soho Rep will kick off its 2009-2010 season with a Season Preview party on Tuesday, November 24 at 7pm that will be free and open to the public, giving the opportunity to meet and greet the artists from the upcoming season and hear excerpted songs from Hopkins’ upcoming show.

The company has also announced the creation of FEED, a new humanities program to accompany all of the theater’s main stage productions. It will feature dialogues, discussions, panels, and other events that look to address the themes of the plays. All FEED events are free.
