Stage and screen veteran Holland Taylor will bring her performance as late Texas Governor Ann Richards to Broadway when her play Ann opens at Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theater on Thursday, March 7. Benjamin Endsley Klein directs.

Produced by Bob Boyett and Harriet Newman Leve in association with Lincoln Center Theater, the solo show explores the life and times of Richards, the larger-than-life housewife, mother, grandmother, leader, and American patriot.

Ticket information, a first preview date, and additional information will be announced in the future. The production has played at Galveston's Grand 1894 Opera House, San Antonio's Empire Theatre, Austin's Paramount Theatre, Chicago's Bank of America Theatre, and Washington DC's Kennedy Center.

Taylor wrote the play based on video coverage, interviews, and reams of Richards' personal and public papers at the University of Texas. Her many stage credits include the original productions of Butley and The Cocktail Hour. She won an Emmy Award for her performance on TV's The Practice, and currently appears on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.
