Stage and screen star Dan Lauria will play the role of radio and television icon, humorist and storyteller Jean Shepherd the Broadway production of A Christmas Story, The Musical, which will play the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, November 5-December 30.

The musical – and the popular 1983 film of A Christmas Story – is based on the writings of Shepherd, whose stories were published in a series of books including In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash.

The Broadway production is directed by John Rando, with choreography by Warren Carlyle. The score is by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, with a book by Joseph Robinette.

Scenic design will be by Walt Spangler, costume design by Elizabeth Hope Clancy, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Ken Travis, wig design by Tom Watson, orchestrations by Tony nominee Larry Blan, music direction and supervision by Ian Eisendrath, dance music arrangements by Glen Kelly, and vocal arrangements by Justin Paul.

Lauria is probably best known for his role as Jack Arnold on The Wonder Years, and currently plays the part of Jack Sullivan on TBS' Sullivan and Son. He made his Broadway debut a couple seasons back in the title role in Lombardi, and additional stage credits include The Guys, Ears On A Beatle, The Winning Streak, Inspecting Carol, A Stone Carver, The Price, and Men In Suits.
