Oh My God, You Guys! Broadway’s Legally Blonde to Close October 19

The Broadway production of Legally Blonde will play its final performance at the Palace Theatre on Sunday, October 19. At that time, it will have played 30 previews and 595 regular performances.

Based on the MGM film of the same name, the musical features a score by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin. The musical just kicked off its first national tour, and will continue to play across the country, in over 35 cities.

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, the production features scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller, orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke and sound design by ACME Sound Partners. The show received a total of seven Tony Award nominations in 2007.

The current cast stars Bailey Hanks (Elle Woods), who won MTV’s reality show Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods, with Christian Borle (Emmett), Orfeh (Paulette), Richard H. Blake (Warner), Kate Shindle (Vivienne), Nicolette Hart (Brooke), and Michael Rupert (Professor Callahan). Also featured are Tracy Jai Edwards, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Kate Rockwell, Lucia Spina, Barry Anderson, April Berry, Kyle Brown, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Beth Curry, Amber Efe, Tiffany Engen, Stephanie Fittro, Josh Franklin, Jason Gillman, Rod Harrelson, Eric Hatch, Manuel Herrera, Autumn Hurlbert, Nick Kenkel, Cara Massey, Rusty Mowery, Emily Padgett, Kevin Pariseau, Jody Renard, Dani Spieler, and Bryan West.
