Berat, Haefner, Hammond, Steingold Set for Cap21’s Dani Girl

Collaborative Arts Project 21’s 2008 Monday Night Reading Series at the Shop Theatre will begin with Dani Girl at 7:30pm on Monday, October 6. The show has music by Michael Kooman, lyrics by Chris Dimond, direction by John Carrafa, and musical direction by Marshall Keating. It stars Dana Steingold as Dani, a nine-year-old who finds herself face to face with a life-threatening disease, and co-stars Jonathan Hammond, Adam Chanler Berat, and Susan Haefner.

The series continues with Creative Writing, October 27, a new drama by J. Holtham; Little Miss Fix-It, November 3, with music by Joy Son and lyrics by Kirsten A. Guenther, which is about an eleven-year-old girl who reads The New York Times, drinks black coffee for breakfast, and tries to bend spoons with her mind; and The Trouble with Doug: A Modern-Day Metamorphosis, November 10, a musical by Will Aronson and Daniel Maté.
