Four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh will join the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Pippin in performances from Friday, August 9, through Sunday, August 11, and Tuesday, August 20, through Sunday, August 25, taking on the role of Berthe and singing the rousing “No Time at All.” She will temporarily replace 2013 Tony winner Andrea Martin, who will depart the production on a short vacation. There is no word yet if Feldshuh will perform the same acrobatic tricks as Martin, which routinely lead to mid-performance standing ovations.

Feldshuh received Tony nominations for her performances in Golda’s Balcony, Lend Me a Tenor, Saravá, and Yentl. She has also been seen onstage in Irena’s Vow, Volpone, and various cabaret shows including Tovah: In a Nutshell. On television, Feldshuh has received Emmy Awards for her work in the film Holocaust and the series Law & Order.

Currently running at the Music Box Theatre, Pippin melds Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson’s classic coming-of-age musical with the death-defying tricks of contemporary circus. Directed by Diane Paulus, choreographed by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse, and featuring circus creations by Gypsy Snider of Les 7 doigts de la main, the production stars 2013 Tony winner Patina Miller, Matthew James Thomas, Terrence Mann, Charlotte d’Amboise, Rachel Bay Jones, and Erik Altemus.
