The film, which is set in Bucharest in 1959 and 1960, focuses on a Jewish group of former anti-Nazi revolutionaries who are sentenced to death for a robbery, but first are forced to reenact their robbery in a propaganda film.
Lloyd will play a cameraman recruited to shoot that film and who falls in love with Farmiga's character.
Lloyd's stage credits include The Little Dog Laughed, A Gaggle of Saints, and The Comedy of Errors. His many film and television credits include Game of Thrones, Robin Hood, Jane Eyre and Doctor Who, and he will be seen in the upcoming film The Iron Lady with Meryl Streep.
