Lynn Redgrave to Lead 13th Annual Broadway Blessing

Lynn Redgrave will headline the 13th annual Broadway Blessing, an interfaith service that will kick-off the new theater season, on September 14. The service will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Blessing, a program conceived and guest produced by Retta Blaney, is a service comprised of song, story and dance. In addition to reflections from Redgrave, Carol Hall and J. Mark McVey will sing a selection from the musical Amazing Grace: The True Story. Shakespearean actor Casey Groves and the group Project Dance are both scheduled to perform as is the Broadway Blessing Choir, led by Director of Cathedral Music Bruce Neswick, which will sing show tunes and lead the audience in a sing-a-long at the end of the service.
