Colm Feore to Join Cherry Jones on Fox’s 24

Stage star Colm Feore will join Tony Award winner Cherry Jones on the hit FOX series 24 next season. She will play the President of the United States and he will play her husband, according to TVGuide.com.

24, which begins its seventh season this fall, consists of one-hour episodes that take place in real time. The series stars Emmy Award winner Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer, a Federal agent whose job includes preventing the President from being assassinated.

Feore played Cassius opposite Denzel Washington in Broadway’s Julius Caesar. He is a frequent presence at Canada’s Stratford Festival, where he has starred in such shows as Oliver, Coriolanus, and Don Juan. Jones won the Tony for Best Actress in a Play for Doubt and The Heiress. Her many other New York stage credits include Faith Healer, A Moon for the Misbegotten, Flesh and Blood, Pride’s Crossing, and Our Country’s Good.
