Four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald appeared on ABC's The View on Monday, July 25. The talk show has posted a clip of McDonald talking backstage with producer Bill Geddie.

In the interview, she discussed singing at a gay marriage ceremony held on July 24 at New York City's Gracie Mansion, her work on the television series Private Practice, and spending time with her daughter Zoe.

McDonald'will star in The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, which will have a six-week run at the American Repertory Theatre's Loeb Drama Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, beginning on August 17, before transferring to Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre, where performances begin December 17.

She will also performing in a concert tour this fall, with appearances scheduled for the Kimmel Center for the Arts in Philadelphia, Symphony Hall in Boston, The McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey, and Carnegie Hall in New York, among other venues.
