Foster, Jones, O’Donnell, Rivera, et al. Set for CTFD’s One World Benefit

Sutton Foster, James Earl Jones, Rosie O’Donnell, Billy Porter, and Noah Racey will be among the stars participating in One World: A Spectacular Global Celebration, this year’s benefit for Career Transitions for Dancers, to be held at 7pm on Monday, October 23 at New York City Center. The event will be produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo and written by Deborah Grace Winer.

At the event, Broadway legend Chita Rivera will receive this year’s Rolex Dance Award. She is an eight-time Tony Award nominee, and has won the award twice — for The Rink and Kiss of the Spider Woman. She will soon begin touring her autobiographical show Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life.

The program will also feature performances by American Ballet Theatre, BALAM Dance Theater, Ballet de Monterrey, Dance China NY, Lorena Feijoo, Sachiyo Ito, The Joffrey Ballet, Eric Lewis, Luna Negra Dance Theatre, National Dance Institute of New Mexico, Ologunde, Parul Shah Dance Co, Pilar Rioja, Rosie’s Broadway Kids, Sounds of Korea, Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, and Mr. Wiggles.
