The Irish Repertory Theatre held a benefit concert performance of the classic Alan J. Lerner and Frederick Loewe musical
Brigadoon at Broadway’s Shubert Theatre, on Monday, June 14. Charlotte Moore directed, with choreography by Barry McNabb.
Actors Matthew Broderick and Jonathan Cake hosted the event. The show, which was a 90-minute adaptation of the musical starred Jim Brochu (Andrew McLaren), Len Cariou (Mr. Lundie), Jason Danieley (Tommy), Christine Ebersole (Meg), Melissa Errico (Fiona), Christopher Lynn (Angus McGuffie), Ciaran Sheehan (Harry), A.J. Shively (Charlie), Don Stephenson (Jeff), and a chorus of 50 singers, along with a 20-piece orchestra, conducted by Mark Hartman. Irish Rep co-founder Ciaran O’Reilly acted as the evening’s narrator.
Guests at the after party included actresses Swoosie Kurtz and Frances Sternhagen, as well as former professional tennis player Patrick McEnroe, who is Errico’s husband.
