Gerry Vichi to Join Broadway's Drowsy Chaperone

Gerry Vichi will take over the role of Feldzeig in the Broadway production of the hit musical The Drowsy Chaperone on Tuesday, June 5. He succeeds original cast member Lenny Wolpe, who will play his final performance on June 3.

Vichi has appeared on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, and Woman of the Year, and in The Wizard of OZ and A Christmas Carol, both at Madison Square Garden.

The Drowsy Chaperone received five 2006 Tony Awards, including Best Book of a Musical and Best Score, and seven Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical. It is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar. The cast currently features John Glover, Beth Leavel, Janine LaManna, Danny Burstein, Peter Bartlett, and JoAnne Worley.
