Brier, Espinosa, Hocking, Murphy Join NEO2 Benefit; Second Show Added

Kathy Brier, Eden Espinosa, Leah Hocking, and Sally Murphy have joined the cast of the York Theatre Company’s NEO2 benefit on Monday, June 12 at St. Peter’s Theatre (54th Street and Lexington Avenue). In addition, a 6pm performance has been added, since the 9pm show is sold out.

The benefit will be hosted by the Tony Award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Other performers will include Stephanie J. Block, Barrett Foa, Christopher Fitzgerald, Cheyenne Jackson, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Janine LaManna, Christiane Noll, Phylicia Rashad, Michael Rupert, Jim Stanek, Cheryl Stern, and John Tartaglia.

The show will celebrate emerging writers in musical theater, featuring songs by Jill Abramovitz and Joy Son, Scott Alan, Barbara Anselmi and Will Randall, David Austin, Neil Bartram, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Sam Davis and Georgia Stitt, Andrew Gerle, Jeff Hochhauser and Robert Johnston, Joe Iconis, Jihwan Kim and Sean Hartley, and David Kirshenbaum and Adam Overett. The concert portion of the event will be recorded live by JAY Records.

The evening will also include a 7:30pm dinner reception and a silent auction. Benefit tickets range in price from $125 to $500; there are also a limited number of $25 performance-only tickets available at the York Theatre box office. For information, call 212-935-5830.
