Showtime’s Nurse Jackie Renewed for Fifth Season

Showtime has renewed the
Edie Falco-led dramedy Nurse Jackie for a fifth season, according to published reports.
Clyde Phillips will join the production team as the program’s new showrunner, replacing co-creators Linda Wallem and Liz Brixius. Phillips, who formerly served as showrunner of the series Dexter, joins Falco, Richie Jackson, and Caryn Mandabach as executive producers. Production on the fifth season will begin in late 2012.
Nurse Jackie also stars Eve Best, Peter Facinelli, Dominic Fumusa, Anna Deveare Smith, and Merritt Wever.
