U2’s Bono and The Edge, who wrote the score for Broadway’s Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark, will perform a song from that show on tonight’s American Idol finale, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They will be joined by cast members from the musical.

Among the other guests performers for the American Idol finale are Tony Bennett, Beyonce, Jack Black, Tom Jones, Lady Gaga, Tim McGraw, Judas Priest, Carrie Underwood, and the surviving members of TLC.

Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark is currently in previews at the Foxwoods Theatre, with an opening date set for June 14. The musical is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility.
