Tony nominee Keith David will narrate the documentary The Tenth Inning, directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, to be broadcast September 28 and 29 on PBS, according to The New York Times.

The program is a follow-up to Burns' original nine-part documentary series, Baseball, which debuted in 1994 and was seen by more than 48 million viewers. It will follow baseball's trajectory from 1993 through 2008, beginning where the original series left off.

David received a 1992 Tony nomination for Jelly's Last Jam, and his other Broadway credits include Hot Feet, Seven Guitars, and Hedda Gabler.
