Marvin Hamlisch to Make Special Appearances in Chicago and New York

Marvin Hamlisch, the mutli-award-winning composer of the musicals A Chorus Line and They’re Playing Our Song, as well as such hit songs as “The Way We Were,” will be making special appearances in Chicago and New York in the coming weeks.

On Sunday, May 28, Hamlisch will participate in a post-show conversation following Chicago’s Circle Theatre’s production of his musical Sweet Smell of Success, featuring lyrics by Craig Carnelia and a book by John Guare. Hamlisch will speak with TheaterMania critic Jonathan Abarbanel.

On Sunday, June 25, he will perform a special gala concert to benefit the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx. He will be joined by the Chris Gillespie Jazz Ensemble for this event.
