Two-time Academy winner Kevin Spacey will play Jamie Tyrone in a new production of Eugene O’Neiil’s A Moon for the Misbegotten at London’s Old Vic Theatre, September 15-December 23.

The show will mark the beginning of Spacey’s third season as the theater’s artistic director. It will be directed by Howard Davies, who directed the 1999 Broadway revival of The Iceman Cometh that starred Spacey, and will feature set and costume design by Tony Award winner Bob Crowley.

The Old Vic season will continue January 7-February 17 with Edward Hall’s acclaimed all-male company Propeller performing Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night in repertory. The last offering of the season, to open in late February, will be a revival of John Osborne’s The Entertainer with Tony winner Robert Lindsay in the role of Archie Rice.
