Bill Buell, Laurence Lowry, Brian Murray, Adam Rothenberg, and Samantha Soule will star in a free reading of Eugene O’Brien’s Savoy at 3pm on Friday, May 26 at the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street).

The play is set in a provincial Irish town, where three friends mark the closing night of the Savoy cinema; not only do they exchange memories, they also expose dark secrets and regrets. O’Brien is best known for his play Eden, which has been performed at Ireland’s Abbey Theater, in the West End, and at the Irish Rep.

Buell is a member of the cast of The History Boys. Lowry’s stage credits include The Field. Murray has starred on Broadway in such shows as The Rivals and The Little Foxes. Rothenberg has appeared Off-Broadway in The Wooden Breeks and Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, and he played Stanley Kowalski in the Kennedy Center production of A Streetcar Named Desire. Soule starred on Broadway in Dinner at Eight.
