Set designer Marjorie Bradley Kellogg will be honored by the League of Professional Theatre Women during the organization's annual "Spring Luncheon" at Lundy's on Tuesday, June 18. Kellogg is receiving the 2002 Ruth Morley Designing Woman of the Year Award for her distinguished work in regional theater, opera, and on over two dozen Broadway shows including American Buffalo, Da, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Ming Cho Lee will present the award.
The League of Professional Theatre Women is now entering its 20th year as a non-profit advocacy group dedicated to promoting women's visibility and opportunities in professional theater. The Ruth Morley award is named for the costume designer who did some of her best known work for such films as Annie Hall and Tootsie, and who served on the League's board of directors.
