UPDATED: Adam Pascal, made famous by his Tony Award-nominated performance as Roger Davis in the 1996 Jonathan Larson rock musical, Rent, is returning to the Broadway stage. He will play the slick-talking, tap-dancing lawyer Billy Flynn in Broadway's long-running musical Chicago. He will join the cast the week of April 8 alongside the previously announced Christine Pedi, who will simultaneously begin her run as Matron "Mama" Morton. Pascal will be taking over for two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber (Shrek), who will conclude his run in the role on Sunday, April 7.

After making his debut in Rent in 1996, Pascal went on to perform in Broadway productions of Cabaret, Memphis, and Aida, for which he originated the role of Radames. He has also produced three solo recordings, entitled Model Prisoner, Civilian and Blinding Light.

April 2, 2013 - Actress/comedienne Christine Pedi (NEWSical the Musical) will join the cast of Broadway's record-breaking revival of Chicago beginning Monday, April 8 in the role of Cook County jailhouse "keeper of the keys," Matron "Mama" Morton. Her ten-week engagement in the musical, at the Ambassador Theatre, will continue through June 16.

Pedi received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in the satirical revue, Forbidden Broadway, in which she has appeared in New York, London, and around the world. Her Broadway credits include Talk Radio and Little Me. Television and radio fans will recognize Pedi as Mrs. Bobby Bacala on the HBO series The Sopranos and as a host on SiriusXM Radio's "On Broadway" channel.

Directed by Walter Bobbie (who received a Tony for his work), this revival of the John Kander/Fred Ebb/ Bob Fosse musical began its life as a presentation at New York City Center Encores! before transferring to Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre in November 1996. It moved to the Shubert Theatre in February 1997, and then the Ambassador Theatre, where it currently runs, in 2003. The principal cast currently includes Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Christopher Sieber (through April 7) as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
