Tony Award winner Ben Vereen will receive the Bridge Building Award for Leadership in Community Relations at the All Stars Project's national gala benefit entitled "Give Back, Get Back", to be held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, on Thursday April 7, beginning at 6pm.

The award recognizes leaders and organizations that are building important bridges between young people and adults, people from different communities and religions, and people in need and those committed to giving back.

The Gala will be hosted by Bill Weir, co-host of ABC's Nightline. The evening will feature hip-hop, rap and dance performances by youth of the All Stars.

Vereen earned a Tony Award for his performance in Pippin. Among his other Broadway credits are Wicked, Fosse, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Jelly's Last Jam, Grind, and I'm Not Rappaport.
