Things to Ruin, a musical revue of the songs of Joe Iconis, will return in May for a limited engagement at Second Stage Theatre, May 4-18. John Simpkins will direct.

The show is about human beings who are messy, emotional, drugged up, knocked down, inspired, electric and who don't have nearly enough time to cause the kind of commotion they so desperately need to. The show ran at the Zipper Factory in January, but closed early due to that venue's sudden closure.

The cast will include Nick Blaemire, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Badia Farha, Sarah Glendening, Lance Rubin, Eric William Morris, and Jason "SweetTooth" Williams. The T2R band, led by Mr. Iconis on keyboard, includes Ian Kagey, Mike Pettry, and Brent Stranathan.

The creative team will include Jennifer Werner (choreography), Michael Schweikardt (set), Chris Dallos (lighting), Michelle Eden Humphrey (costume supervision), and Craig Kaufman (sound).

Iconis is a recipient of the 2006 Jonathan Larson Award, the 2007 Ed Kleban Award and a Backstage Bistro Award. His musicals include ReWrite, The Black Suits, and The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks.
